Job summary

TriStar Health seeks an Acute Trauma Surgical Nurse to provide expert care for high-acuity trauma and post-operative surgical patients. In this fast-paced hospital role, you’ll perform rapid assessments, deliver evidence-based interventions, and coordinate closely with trauma surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include medication and IV management, wound and drain care, pain control, and clear patient and family education.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee or eligible to practice in the state.
• Experience in trauma or surgical nursing preferred.
• Ability to perform rapid assessments and interventions in high-acuity situations.
• Strong communication with patients, families and team members.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and manage IV therapies.
• Provide wound and drain care and pain control.
• Deliver education to patients and families about care plans.
