Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee is seeking a Registered Nurse for Acute Surgical Care to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with providers and the care team, following established nursing models and advocating for patients and families.

Qualifications include ACLS within 6 months of start date, BLS within 30 days, an RN license with Associate, Diploma, or BSN, and no travel requirement.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 6 months of employment start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN license (RN) with allied degree/diploma (ADN/BSN/ Diploma).
• No Travel Required.
• Current acute care experience in a medical-surgical or step-down unit.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift.
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document administration of care in the patient record promptly and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organizations vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
• No Travel Required
• Current acute care experience in a medical surgical unit or stepdown unit
