Exalt Health Rehabilitation Conroe LLC seeks a Respiratory Therapist PRN to join our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. You will assess patients, deliver therapies, educate families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to restore respiratory function and quality of life.

The role emphasizes ventilator management, airway clearance, and precise documentation, with ongoing equipment maintenance and safety in a fast-paced rehab setting.

Qualifications

• RRT credential NBRC is required.
• Current, unencumbered Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the practicing state.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or required in AZ.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments, including function testing and ABG interpretation.
• Provide therapies: oxygen, aerosols, chest physiotherapy, ventilation management, airway clearance.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and equipment use.
• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and responses to therapy.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, PTs, and other team members to plan care.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure safety.
