Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation at Kindred Hospital Melbourne is seeking a Physical Therapist to join an Acute Rehabilitation Unit focused on stroke, brain injury, orthopedic and neurological care. You will evaluate patients, formulate treatment plans, and contribute to outcome-driven care in a team environment.

The role requires a degree from an accredited PT program, a current Florida license, CPR certification, and strong organizational and communication skills to ensure high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state where services are rendered.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate a patient's condition, develop a treatment plan, and guide progress day by day.
• Instruct nursing staff and patient families on follow-through programs.
• Communicate progress to supervisor and team; assist with scheduling and post charges.
• Document patient care per regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Instruct family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Maintain equipment and a safe, clean work area.
• Adhere to professional standards and applicable state/federal laws.
