Job summary

Mercy in Moore, OK seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to perform objective assessments and design individualized treatments for adult and geriatric patients. You will supervise patients and rehab staff while adhering to Mercy Service Standards and policies.

Required education includes a PT degree and valid state licensure; BLS is mandatory. A six- to twelve-month experience window is preferred, with senior supervision responsibilities in a hospital-based rehab setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy required.
• Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• BLS certification required; essential for independent patient care.
• Six months to one year experience preferred; adult/geriatric care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive, individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• Supervise PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Position Details:

Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.

Experience:

Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
