CHRISTUS Health in San Antonio, TX is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. The nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support patient education and safety.

Requirements include a BSN preferred, RN license or compact, BLS and current PALS, and at least 1 year of related nursing experience. Orientation and competency validation are provided.

Qualificações

• BSN degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of related nursing experience preferred.
• Current PALS certification required.
• RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
• BLS certification required.
• New nurses orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
• New hires are precepted during onboarding and must complete competency validations.
• All annual competency verification requirements must be completed.

Responsabilidades

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation) for assigned patients.
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources.
