Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital in North Carolina is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. This hospital-based role focuses on adult and geriatric rehab, with a $15,000 sign-on bonus and a 2-year commitment.

You will work with physicians, therapists and staff to deliver patient-centered therapy promoting function and independence. Licensed OT in NC and BLS within 30 days are required, along with strong critical thinking and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Required Licenses: Active NC Occupational Therapist License
• Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients' needs; identifies and initiates appropriate occupational therapy interventions; collaborates with other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional practice.
• Observes and evaluates treatment progress; adjust plans with physician input as needed.
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and periodic reassessments, documents QI scoring.
• Assesses pain and provides interventions to improve function; refers to physician when needed.
• Ensures patient safety and quality of care in all activities.
