Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, AZ is seeking an experienced Acute Multimodality Tech to join our radiology team. The role covers CT, MRI, NM, and X-ray procedures within the Banner Baywood Medical Center and Banner Heart Hospital network, with daytime shifts and a schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

The ideal candidate will be licensed for multiple modalities and committed to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

  • This position requires an Acute Multimodality Tech with imaging procedures performed per departmental policies.
  • Performs CT, MRI, NM or X-ray procedures as licensure allows and participates in patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Performs prescribed imaging procedures following orders and policies.
  • Educates patients about procedures and prepares images for interpretation.
  • Maintains equipment and ensures safety and confidentiality in all interactions.
  • Floats to different modalities as licensure allows when needed.
  • Ensures adequate supplies and smooth workflow within the department.

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9a-730p. Call and Holiday required.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Acute Multimodality Tech to join our team. Currently looking for a CT/MRI technologist, CT/NM technologist, or CT/Xray Technologist.

Day to day: This position performs procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures, and protocols for both Banner Baywood Medical Center and Banner Heart Hospital. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population. There will be floating to different modalities according to your licensures when needed.

Banner Baywood Medical Center is a 332-bed hospital in Mesa, Arizona serving the health care needs of the dynamic and growing East Valley communities of metropolitan Phoenix. We provide complete acute care services including cancer, stroke, emergency medicine, and surgery. Located next to Banner Baywood Medical Center is Banner Heart Hospital that specializes in providing the most advanced cardiovascular care in an environment of clinical excellence, compassion, and healing. Our facilities include 28 cardiovascular intensive care beds, 67 telemetry beds, a 16-bed interventional stay unit, two endovascular suites, six OR suites, six cardiac cath labs, two electrophysiology labs and a non-invasive cardiology unit.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population

CORE FUNCTIONS
  1. Performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
  2. Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions; fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes.
  3. Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
  4. Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable in accordance with established policies if applicable.
  5. Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to safety policies.
  6. Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to the radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
  7. Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.
