This position provides staffing support across a variety of10-hour shifts to meet operational needs. The schedule includes a mix ofdaytime, evening, weekend, and holiday coverage on a rotating basis. Typical shifts include7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 7:30 a.m. to 6:0o p.m., and 12:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., based on department needs.

This position is responsible for the delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients using the medication use process. This position is accountable for documentation of all components of pharmaceutical care they deliver to patients. Oversees the activities of pharmacy technicians and interns, coordinating workflow and approving medications prior to being dispensed. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients being served. Must assess data reflective of the patient's status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements and provide pharmaceutical care based on those needs. Adheres to local, state, and federal laws regarding the profession of pharmacy practice.

TYPE OF SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the resolution of issues occurring on their shift and acts as the designated supervisor. Has shift responsibility for the technical staff on duty and provides work direction in completing daily responsibilities. This position may provide initial disciplinary action or counseling that is required on an immediate basis.
