Job summary

Geisinger is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) at Geisinger Wyoming Valley to provide direct patient care, including assessments and treatments across various medical conditions. This role requires a Pennsylvania RN license and offers a supportive clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required), Bachelor's Degree-Nursing (Preferred).
• Basic Life Support Certification.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) – RN_State of Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments based on scope of practice and unit standards.
• Addresses needs of patient and family throughout the continuum of care.
• Formulates, coordinates, and provides plan of care with interdisciplinary team.
• Provides direct patient care including treatments and medications.
• Evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions.
• Initiates collaboration with healthcare team.
• Participates in unit-based decision-making.
• Actively participates in patient quality and safety education.
