Job summary

Sentara Health is hiring a Speech Pathologist for the Hampton Roads Area in a PRN resource pool to work in Acute Care/IPR. Assess and develop rehabilitative plans for speech and swallowing disorders, educate patients and caregivers, and supervise care in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Pathology with national/state licensure.
• Current VA Speech Pathology license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, organize and participate in rehabilitative programs for speech, language, swallowing, voice and fluency disorders.
• Provide age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers.
• Supervise and assume responsibility for patient care in acute care/IPR settings.
