Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Master's degree in speech therapy required.
• Licensed SLP in the state of Texas required.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• Experience with dysphagia and MBSS required.
• Weekdays work with rotating weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities using structured assessments and observations.
• Developing and updating individualized treatment plans for communication clarity and safe swallowing.
• Documenting evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, and discharge summaries accurately.
• Educating patients and families on goals, safety, home strategies, and progress expectations.
• Collaborating with physicians, nursing, rehabilitation, and care managers for coordinated care.
