Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program or equivalent ASHA-compliant education
• Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of service
• Minimum of six months experience with adult and geriatric patients
• Current CPR certification
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities
• Communicate patient progress to supervisors and team members; assist with scheduling and documentation of charges
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory and payer requirements
• Instruct family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
• Adhere to company policies and applicable state/federal laws
• Perform other duties as assigned
