Job summary

The Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Medical-Surgical/Acute Care Inpatient Registered Nurse to provide and supervise quality nursing care to a veteran population with varying complexity.

Duties include planning, implementing, and evaluating care; ensuring patient safety; and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Applicants must meet basic nursing education requirements, possess or be eligible for state licensure in nursing, and demonstrate English proficiency

Qualifications

English language proficiency required for direct patient care.
Must meet VA nursing education and licensure standards.
Credit for foreign nursing education considered for eligibility.

Responsibilities

Provide and supervise direct nursing care to veterans.
Coordinate patient education, self-management, and care continuum.
Administer medications and procedures per policies; collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
