Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide clinical direction for patient care in an acute inpatient setting at Richland Hospital. The role emphasizes patient/family-centered care, evidence-based practices, safety, and quality improvement.

The RN will develop and update care plans with input from patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team, ensure care continuity, and uphold professional standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• Education - Associate degree in Nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience - One (1) year experience as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Collect data and complete nursing assessments using appropriate area and age-specific standards/policies and tools.
• Develop an individual plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family, the provider, and other health care team members.
• Update the plan based on changes in the patient’s condition and communicate changes to the team.
• Provide direct care to assigned patients per the established nursing plan.
• Perform tasks within the RN scope of practice and delegate tasks when appropriate.
• Monitor quality of care and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Advocate for the patient and coordinate care with the healthcare team.

Education

Associate degree in Nursing

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
