Job summary

Blue Ridge Regional Hospital is seeking an Acute Care Registered Nurse PRN to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across Med/Surg, Progressive Care and ICU units. You will collaborate with providers for pre- and post-operative care and advocate for a superior patient experience.

The role includes shift-based assessments, care documentation, med administration and ongoing knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical care.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience
• Associates Degree in Nursing required
• NC Board of Nursing licensure required (eNLC may apply)
• BLS, ACLS and CPI certifications required

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and each shift; report changes
• Perform procedures as ordered by the medical provider
• Document care in the patient record promptly and accurately
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and Med/Surg patients
