Job summary

USC Keck Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care using the nursing process in an acute inpatient setting. You will coordinate patient care, educate patients and families, and ensure compliance with policies in a compassionate environment.

Responsibilities include assessments at admission and with changes in condition, developing Plans of Care, administering meds/IV therapy, and documenting in flow sheets and MAR. Collaboration with Case Manager and physicians is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires BSN or grandfathered BSN per policy.
• Registered Nurse licensed in California (CA RN).
• Minimum 1 year acute inpatient hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform admission/shift/change-of-condition assessments.
• Develop and revise Plans of Care with interventions.
• Administer medications and IV therapy per policy.
• Document care on flow sheets, MAR, and transfer forms.
• Provide patient/family education and discharge planning.
• Coordinate care with Case Manager and physicians.
• Maintain safety, infection control and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate effectively with care team and patients.
