Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Maine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical Unit. The RN delivers safe, patient-centered care using the nursing process and collaborates with physicians and the care team to achieve positive outcomes.

This full-time night-shift position offers a competitive pay range of $36.00–$49.16 per hour, eligibility for a sign-on bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care.
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions, reporting changes promptly to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments in accordance with provider orders and hospital policies.
• Coordinate and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Assist with procedures, diagnostics, patient stabilization, and other department-specific clinical interventions.
• Operate and monitor clinical equipment appropriate to the assigned department.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
