Job summary

West Anaheim Medical Center in Anaheim, CA is hiring a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care across general medical/surgical inpatient units and the emergency department. You will apply the nursing process, assess patients, plan care, implement treatments and evaluate outcomes.

You will educate patients and families, coordinate with physicians, and maintain privacy and confidentiality while upholding standards of care. A BSN is preferred and a valid RN license is required.

Qualifications

• State RN license required or eligible to practice.
• Critical Care Course preferred.
• BLS (AHA) certification required upon hire.
• ACLS (AHA) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• At least 1 year as staff RN in acute care; CCU preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• Direct patient education and guide family teaching; supervise other nursing staff.
• Maintain standards of care in the DOU and communicate with physicians about patient changes.
• Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
