Qualifications

• One (1) year experience as a physical therapy assistant in an acute care facility preferred.
• Completion of A.A. degree from a school or college approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current California license as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• BLS (AHA) current certification.
• Written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills.
• Basic organizational and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Administers physical therapy modalities and interventions prescribed by a licensed physician.
• Implements patient care program designed by the physical therapist, including exercises and mobility training.
• Maintains communication with patient/family and healthcare team regarding progress and discharge.
