Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant specializing in Acute Care to join our patient-focused Rehab Therapy Services team. You will support a licensed PT to implement treatment plans and help patients return to their maximum level of function.

This full-time 40-hour week collaborates with a multidisciplinary team and includes some weekends/holidays. Maryland licensure and current AHA Healthcare Provider Certification are required; an associate PTA degree is expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• 0 to 2 years of experience as a physical therapist assistant preferred.
• Maryland licensure required for Physical Therapist Examiners.

Responsibilities

• Implements a treatment program as established by a licensed PT.
• Supports the rehabilitation team to maximize patient outcomes.
• Works with the multidisciplinary health care team to improve patient care and department efficiency.
• Promotes service improvements within the department and hospital systems.
