Job summary
University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy in San Antonio, TX invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice (Acute Care-Non Tenure Track). The role provides acute care clinical services at Baptist Medical Center and includes teaching, scholarship, and service as part of a full-time faculty appointment.
Responsibilities include curriculum development, didactic and experiential teaching, student mentoring, exam development, and scholarly activity.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy Degree required.
- Two years of postgraduate residency training in internal medicine, family medicine, pharmacotherapy, or equivalent.
- Experience managing acute care conditions and teaching preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participate in curriculum development and advancement of the program.
- Prepare and deliver interactive didactic lectures aligned with curriculum goals.
- Teach in the experiential curriculum and provide clinical pharmacy services for acutely ill patients.
- Advise and mentor students with weekly office hours.
- Conduct scholarly research and publication.
- Provide service to the department, college, university, community, and profession.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
