Job summary

Kona Community Hospital Pharmacy in Hawaii is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join the central pharmacy and nursing floors. You will dispense medications, pre-pack, and maintain an adequate pharmaceutical supply while interpreting physician orders. Applicants must hold a Pharm.D or B.S.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a baccalaureate or Pharm.D degree in pharmacy.
• A valid license with the State of Hawaii as a Pharmacist at the time of appointment.
• Six months of full-time work experience as a licensed pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications and maintain control of drug distribution in central pharmacy and nursing floor.
• Interpret physician prescriptions and medication orders.
• Maintain adequate pharmaceutical supply and pre-packaging.
• Work on rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays; standby and call back duties.
