Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of practice required.
• BCLS certification required on hire or within specified time frame.
• Minimum 2+ years of post‑graduate acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing service for the scheduled shift and coordinate with charge nurses.
• Coordinate and supervise nursing activities to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
• Maintain and review nursing service records and staff schedules.
• Evaluate staff performance against written standards and provide guidance.
• Assist in hiring, promotion, suspension, and termination of nursing staff.
• Ensure infection control and environmental safety across the shift.
• Provide orientation and ongoing in‑service education; report issues to the Director of Nursing.
• Communicate effectively with other shifts to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
