Job summary

Diversity Group is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS. The NA will provide safe, routine care under supervision, assist with daily living activities, and contribute to care plans for Veterans.

Requirements include basic nursing-related education or experience, English proficiency, and KSAs for patient care, communication, and emergency response. Shift includes nights with rotating weekends and holidays at a VA facility.

Qualifications

• Six months of general experience or education related to nursing care.
• Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and patient care.
• Ability to observe and report patient status to supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in full range of nursing care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team.
• Observe patients and report deviations in a timely manner.
• Document care, vital signs, and intake/output as required.
• Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, and comfort as part of care plans.
