INTEGRIS Health in Oklahoma City seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the surgical care team. The part-time NP provides inpatient, operative, and ambulatory care with focused assessment, orders, and care coordination.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s NP degree, Acute Care and RNFA certification, an Oklahoma NP license, BLS, and excellent English communication. This role supports discharge planning and collaborates with physicians and staff to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited NP program.
  • Acute Care and RNFA certification.
  • Current Oklahoma NP license.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates and completes a detailed patient assessment.
  • Initiates the order of laboratory tests, radiological examinations, and other routine diagnostic procedures.
  • Diagnoses the actual or potential health problem or need, based upon an analysis of the data collected, and plans therapeutic intervention.
  • Orders and initiates appropriate medication, treatment, and consultation based upon an analysis of the data collected.
  • Orders or performs routine procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, venous and arterial blood draws, and managing simple conditions produced by infection, trauma or other disease processes.
  • Educates the patient regarding prescribed treatment and medication(s).
  • The Nurse Practitioner reports to the supervising physician and Operations Manager Practice Management.

Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

This Advanced Practice Provider (APP) plays an integral role in delivering high-quality patient care across the inpatient, operative, and ambulatory settings. As a valued member of the surgical care team, the APP contributes to exceptional patient outcomes through comprehensive clinical management, collaboration, and continuity of care.

Day in the Life
  • Participating in daily inpatient rounds and multidisciplinary care coordination.
  • Assisting surgeons in the operating room across a variety of surgical procedures.
  • Managing postoperative and trauma follow-up care in the outpatient clinic setting.
  • Facilitating discharge planning and ensuring seamless transitions of care.
  • Serving as a key liaison among patients, families, consulting providers, and ancillary departments to support optimal communication and patient experience.

  • The Nurse Practitioner reports to the supervising physician and Operations Manager Practice Management.
  • This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Please consult the Physical Demands Project SharePoint site or contact Risk Management/Employee Health for additional information. Potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, chemicals. Must follow standard precautions.
