Banner Health in Tucson is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to support a comprehensive cardiology program, with 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient coverage. You will collaborate with a cardiovascular team to care for cardiology, cardiac surgery, heart failure, transplant, and other cardiovascular patients.

The role includes day coverage Monday–Friday with rotating weekends/holidays, and will involve rounding with CCU and ICU teams to ensure high-quality care for diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• NP Board Certification required.
• New NP grads encouraged to apply; cardiology or cardiac surgery experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work closely with physicians and other clinicians as a team.
• Detail-oriented; dedicated to providing excellent care in challenging situations.
• Current Arizona Medical License.
• Current BLS and ACLS.
• Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for inpatient and outpatient cardiology patients as part of a Cardiology team.
• Work closely with CCU and ICU teams; 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient coverage.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and support staff.
• Routinely handle 16 outpatient and 5-10 inpatient patients per day; participate in rounds.

Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in our Cardiology Division

Banner University Medical Center - Tucson

Banner University Medical Group - Tucson is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to provide care for inpatient and outpatient services. This position will provide flexible support 50% inpatient & 50% outpatient services. You will work alongside of our Cardiovascular team and care for our cardiology, cardiac surgery, heart failure, transplant and cardiovascular patients. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner with experience and/or new grad with appropriate training to be part of an established comprehensive cardiology program.The qualified candidate will work closely with our team of specialized physicians, nursing staff, case managers and support staff and should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday - Day coverage 8-hour days, rotating weekends and holidays

Patient Volume: Outpatient clinic - 16 patients/day; Inpatient: 5-10 patients/day, rounding with CCU and ICU teams.

Essential Functions and Required Qualifications
