Job summary

Montana Health System in Great Falls is seeking an Acute Care Clinical Manager to lead nursing operations across Med-Surg and Emergency Services. This dual role blends administrative oversight with bedside support to ensure high-quality patient care and staff development.

You will partner with hospital leadership to optimize scheduling, onboarding, and evaluations while ensuring competency across RN, LPN, CNA teams and collaboration with physicians and C-Suite leaders.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Active, unrestricted Montana RN license (or eligibility).
• BLS certification.
• ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC certifications (required or within 6 months).
• 7+ years RN clinical experience in Med-Surg/Acute Care/ED.
• At least 1 year of management experience.
• Strong leadership with acute care expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across the department with the Director.
• Drive staff development, onboarding, and annual evaluations.
• Manage scheduling, timecards, interviews, quality data, incident tracking, sick calls, and daily huddles.
• Provide bedside nursing support during high volume or high acuity periods.
• Offer operational direction to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Ward Clerks, and Technicians while collaborating with leadership.
