MercyOne Northeast Iowa is seeking a part-time Evening Shift Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality acute care in a collaborative team. You will care for patients recovering from strokes and complex conditions, with an average stay of 2–3 weeks, providing both physical and emotional support.

You will assess and plan care, supervise LPNs and PCAs, and communicate with physicians and families. The role includes 20 hours per week, 3 pm–11 pm on weekdays and 7 pm–7 am on weekends.

Qualifications

• Active IA RN license is required.
• BSN preferred.
• No experience required.

Description:

Position Purpose:

Provide high-quality acute nursing care in a collaborative team environment, supporting the rehabilitation of patients recovering from strokes, multi-trauma injuries, burns, and other complex conditions. Deliver both physical and emotional care to patients of all ages as they navigate significant and often permanent lifestyle changes. With an average length of stay of 2–3 weeks, you’ll have a meaningful opportunity to build relationships and make a lasting impact on each patient’s recovery journey.

What you will Do:

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of patients.
• Supervises and coordinates care provided by LPNs and PCAs.
• Facilitates communication with physicians, families and other team members.

Hours/Schedule:

• 20 hours per week
• Evenings
• 8 hour shifts on weekdays, 3 pm - 11 pm
• 12 hour shifts on weekends, 7 pm - 7 am

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active IA RN license
