Job summary

Marshall Medical Center in Placerville, CA is seeking an Acute Care Assistant to support the ICU team during night shifts. You will perform essential patient care tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including hygiene, ADLs, vital signs, and monitoring setup.

Primary tasks include patient hygiene, activities of daily living, nutritional support, vital signs, attaching patient to appropriate monitoring, completing 12 lead ECGs, ambulating and other basic patient care activities as directed. Assists the Monitor Technician by responding to telephone calls, call lights, pneumatic tube arrivals, intercom system and completes miscellaneous filing as directed. Assists in ordering equipment and supplies, assures room readiness, keeps the unit clutter free, and responds to other requests by nursing personnel for resources to meet patient care needs. Maintains positive public relations by interacting with patients, visitors, physicians and other staff members in a friendly and professional manner.
