Crossover Health provides care across a modern, integrated setting and seeks a skilled Acupuncturist to join the team. You will deliver evidence-based acupuncture care within an interdisciplinary environment, contributing to patient outcomes and care coordination.

In this role, you’ll participate in team conferences, document treatments, and support wellness and prevention as part of our Primary Health model, with opportunities for professional growth and collaborative practice.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of professional clinical experience in acupuncture.
• Graduate from an accredited school and pass the national board exam.
• Must meet ACAOM standards.
• Current BLS certification.
• For California: additional hours of herbal medicine training and an herbal medicine exam.

Responsibilities

• Participates in comprehensive treatment planning focused on patient goals.
• Records and reviews patients' medical histories and treatment plans.
• Diagnoses health problems by reviewing health histories and examinations.
• Maintains accurate treatment records and advises on options.
• Counsels on nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress, and related matters.

Job Summary

The Acupuncturist provides care to the highest standard of evidence-based care and ensures an optimal patient experience in an integrated care environment. This includes participating in care team conferences, health outcomes analysis, and care coordination activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Participates in the selection of a comprehensive treatment plans for all patients, focusing on achieving patient goals and functional improvement
• Participates in the selection of cost-effective treatment modalities
• Obtains and records patients' medical histories
• Diagnoses health problems by reviewing patients' health and medical histories, questioning, observing, and examining patient
• Maintains accurate treatment records for patients
• Advise patients about recommended treatment options
• Counsels patients about nutrition, exercise, sleeping habits, stress management, and other related matters
• Consults with and refers patients to appropriate health practitioners, when necessary
• Directs case management to minimize over utilization of maintenance care and maintain a low patient visit average
• Participates in quality improvement programs, as well as participates in multidisciplinary quality assurance programs that monitor the performance of Crossover’s written policies
• Collaborates with the care team to ensure improvement of patient care
• Uses best efforts to cooperate with clinical outcome reviews and measurements as may be established by the site
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• 5-7 years of professional clinical experience in acupuncture
• Graduate from an accredited school and pass the national board exam
• Must meet all standards set by the national accreditation body, Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• For positions in California: requires additional hours of training in herbal medicine and passing of an herbal medicine exam

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidate will have excellent interpersonal and multitasking skills and demonstrated self-directed work ethic to successfully function in a fast-paced environment
• Strong computer skills
• Confident, collaborative, and positive disposition
• Experience working in an integrative setting alongside chiropractors, massage therapists, physicians, dietitians and health coaches

Physical Job Requirements

• Requires standing, walking and sitting for extended amounts of time
• Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs
• Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Includes full range of body motion including potential of handling and lifting patients
• Requires corrected vision, hearing and speech within normal ranges. Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and team members.

Pay and Benefits

The base pay range for this position is $108,303.00 to $140,795 per year. Pay range may vary depending on work location, applicable knowledge, skills, and experience.
