Job summary

Jackson in Lansing, MI seeks an actuarial analyst to perform routine actuarial processes across product development, financial modeling, and reporting. You will learn product lines, run models, and contribute to reserves and pricing under supervision.

You will prepare outputs, study material for actuarial exams, and communicate findings to the team. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and SOA exam progress are required, with further designation preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Actuarial Science, Math, Stats, Economics or CS).
• Successful completion of one SOA exam is required.
• Pursuit of ASA or FSA designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops understanding of Jackson’s insurance products.
• Learns actuarial tools for modeling cash flows and data analysis.
• Participates in small team meetings and manages time to meet deadlines.
• Communicates with manager and peers using email and Teams.
• Follows guidance for updating modeling tools and production processes.
• Produces actuarial outputs such as reserves, cash flows, and pricing.
