Qualifications

• Minimum educational requirements listed: high school diploma or GED and pursuit of bachelor's degree in actuarial science, math, statistics or related field.
• Proficiency in probability and statistics; passing first actuarial exam preferred.
• Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, presentation and database software.

Responsibilities

• Learn actuarial techniques, data sources, and spreadsheets under supervision; conduct reviews of rating factors.
• Analyze ERIE insurance programs, profitability, rating factors, reserve studies and trends; support rate indications.
• Create exhibits, reports, and charts for actuarial studies and rate recommendations; determine presentation formats.
• Write SAS and Visual Basic programs to extract data and prepare spreadsheets; ensure data accuracy.
