Our Summer Internship Program is designed to provide students with meaningful, real-world corporate experience while helping build a strong, long-term talent pipeline for American National. The program blends hands‑on, role‑related project work with intentional learning, leadership exposure, business education, and relationship‑building opportunities. In addition to contributing to their respective departments, interns will participate in professional development experiences, connect with leaders through conversational Leadership Lens sessions, gain broader business perspective through cross‑company spotlight sessions, and build community with fellow interns and employees across the organization. The 2027 Summer Internship Program is a 12‑week experience. Intern positions are paid hourly with a full‑time schedule (Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week) for the entirety of the program. Throughout the summer, interns can expect a well‑rounded experience that supports professional growth, strengthens connection to American National, and provides opportunities to learn, contribute, ask questions, and explore potential future career paths within the organization.

The Actuarial team plays a critical role in maintaining the company’s profitability through the use of data and analytics, leading to a more accurate and efficient decision‑making process. Working as part of a cross‑functional team, team members evaluate risk, set appropriate pricing, analyze trends and patterns, use predictive models to forecast future risks and trends, and enhance overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
