Job summary

Next Insurance, Inc. is seeking an Actuarial Associate for Living Benefits (LB) Valuation in New York, NY. The role supports valuation production, data analysis, and documentation within Corporate Actuarial. You will contribute to IDI and LTC reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely preparation of recurring materials.

The position emphasizes data quality, model support, and maintaining clear documentation while collaborating with the team to enhance efficiency and controls.

Qualifications

• Near ASA or pursuing ASA with plan toward FSA.
• Minimum 2 years of actuarial experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, quantitative discipline, actuarial science, or related field.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; detail-oriented and willing to learn production processes.
• Ability to communicate results clearly and work with team members and business partners.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; SQL or programming experience preferred.
• Life insurance product knowledge and valuation or financial reporting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with periodic actuarial valuation and production processes, including data preparation, model support, results review, and recurring reporting materials.
• Ensure deliverables are accurate, timely, and well-documented under established procedures and controls.
• Perform data analysis and quality checks to support valuation, reporting, assumption review, and ad-hoc business needs.
• Maintain clear supporting documentation for production processes, assumptions, data checks, and work products.
• Assist with enhancements to recurring tools, templates, and processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and controls.
• Support team members with production tasks, management requests, audit support, and other actuarial projects as needed.
