Job summary

Elevance Health in Indianapolis is seeking an Actuarial Analyst II to support Medicare Advantage bid submissions and pricing model development. You will analyze data, build pricing factors and collaborate with the vendor management team to ensure accurate interpretation of vendor payments.

A BA/BS and a minimum of three actuarial exams with at least one year of related experience are required. Intermediate Excel and SQL skills, strong organization, and health insurance experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree and to have passed a minimum of three SOA or CAS actuarial exams and a minimum of 1 year related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

• Obtains, verifies, analyzes and models data for MA supplemental benefit pricing development.
• Partners with benefit vendor management team to ensure accurate interpretation of vendor payment arrangements.

Actuarial Analyst II

Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. How You Will Make an Impact

• Supports the preparation of Medicare Advantage (MA) bid submissions

Minimum Requirements

• Requires a BA/BS degree and to have passed a minimum of three Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exams and a minimum of 1 year related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences

• Intermediate Excel experience preferred.
• Intermediate SQL query experience preferred.
• Strong organization and project management experience preferred.
• Health insurance industry experience preferred.
