JOB TITLE: Actuarial Analyst

LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES: Comply revenue and statistical data for various projects, including producing monthly variance analysis reports and forecast revenue; perform expense cost projections and unpaid claim reserve estimates; access and extract data from databases, review it for accuracy, and resolve any issues; develop and generate data reports, apply actuarial approaches while balancing principles with business realities; measure historical relationships to identify trend drivers, create and test models, and maintain them for efficiency; analyze healthcare claims data, perform quantitative analysis, and develop detailed data sets for client reporting and analytics; and set and defend key model assumptions. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics or related field, and the completion of a graduate-level coursework, research project, internship, or thesis or one (1) year of experience involving the following:

• Completion of at least one Actuarial exam
• Microsoft Excel, including VBA coding
• Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Teams, or PowerPoint
• Interpret, modify, and create Python code
• Foundational actuarial concepts such as premium, claims, and reserves
• Healthcare modeling concepts such as runout, claims triangles, incidence, severity, and VaR

RATE OF PAY: $97,162 - $111,417 per year
