Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking an Activity Therapist for a full-time role, Tuesday through Saturday, at our Chicago-area facility. The incumbent will assess patient needs, plan and implement activity therapies, and guide patients through therapeutic leisure activities to support overall well-being.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or related field, with a master’s preferred, and at least three years of healthcare recreation experience.
Activity Therapist - Full time Tues-Sat
At Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital, our goal is to provide personalized treatment for those who are suffering from mental health disorders and co-occurring addictions. We are currently seeking a full-time Activity Therapist for our Montrose Behavioral Hospital location. Our continuum of care is designed to give our community options when it comes to receiving effective behavioral health treatment. We provide premier inpatient care for children ages 5-12, adolescents ages 13-17, adults age 18 and older, and senior adults age 55 and older. We also offer outpatient care for adolescents and adults.
Our Activity Therapist will complete activity assessment through patient observation and patient/family interview, obtaining information on the patient’s needs, skills, interests and limitations for the development and implementation of the treatment plan. Plan, direct and implement activity therapy programs as a component of the patient’s treatment plan.
PAY RANGE: $26.23/hr. - $30.73/hr.
