Trouvaille Memory Care Suites in Minnesota is seeking an energetic Activity Staff Professional to plan, lead, and support music- and life-enrichment activities for residents. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with large-group and small-group activities, including music, singing, exercise, games, crafts, and other recreational programs.

Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Schedule: Every other weekend, 12:00 PM-8:00 PM, with additional weekday shifts to be determined. Scheduling flexibility is a plus!

Position Overview

The Activity Staff Professional works closely with our Activity/Life Enrichment team to plan, lead, and support engaging activities that enhance residents' daily lives. This position creates meaningful opportunities for socialization, recreation, self-expression, and enjoyment while supporting residents' individual interests, abilities, and needs.

Music is an especially valuable way to connect with our residents, and musical abilities are a welcome bonus! However, musical talent is not required. We are looking for someone who enjoys engaging with others, building relationships, and creating a positive, welcoming environment.

We are open to both full-time and part-time candidates. Our primary scheduling need includes every-other-weekend coverage, with additional weekday shifts arranged based on the needs of the community and the availability of the successful candidate. Some flexibility with scheduling and helping cover additional shifts when needed would be beneficial in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with large-group and small-group activities, including music, singing, exercise, games, baking, crafts, and other recreational programs.
• Encourage resident participation, socialization, independence, and meaningful engagement.
• Use music, conversation, familiar routines, and creative activities to promote connection and enjoyment for residents living with memory loss.
• Adapt activities to accommodate residents' individual interests, abilities, cognitive needs, and energy levels.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Help create a warm, home-like atmosphere where residents feel valued, respected, and included.
• Collaborate with the Activity/Life Enrichment team and other departments to support resident well-being.
• Assist with activity setup, cleanup, supplies, and other program-related responsibilities.
• Provide activity support and coverage during staff vacations, absences, or other scheduling needs when available.
• Follow community policies and procedures while maintaining residents' dignity, privacy, and safety.

• Assisted living, memory care, senior services, recreation, activities, or life enrichment experience preferred.
• Musical abilities, including singing or playing the piano, guitar, or another instrument, are preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn about dementia care and person-centered approaches to resident engagement.
• Scheduling flexibility and willingness to assist with additional shifts when possible are a plus.

Schedule & Availability

We are considering candidates interested in either full-time or part-time employment.

• Every other weekend: 12:00 PM-8:00 PM.
• Weekday shifts: Days and hours will be determined based on community needs and candidate availability.
• Flexible scheduling: Some flexibility is beneficial, particularly when assisting with staff vacations, absences, or additional activity coverage.
• Full-time or part-time: Hours will be discussed with candidates based on availability, scheduling needs, and the position offered.
