Job summary

Civitas Senior Living is seeking an energetic Activity Director to lead engaging activities for residents in a warm, caring community. You will craft calendars, coordinate events, and foster meaningful connections among residents and staff.

You will also train team members, welcome new residents with personalized bios, and ensure events are welcoming and well-organized. A driver’s license and background checks are required, with company-sponsored certification available.

Qualifications

• Compassion and enthusiasm for working with seniors.
• Effective written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.
• Willingness to obtain Company-sponsored Activity Director certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a diverse schedule of activities and events for residents.
• Prepare and distribute monthly newsletters and calendars; arrange community group visits.
• Educate, train, and inspire staff to foster meaningful connections within the community.
• Compile biographies for new residents to provide a warm, personalized welcome.
• Decorate common areas to create ambience for events and holidays.
• Maintain inventory and manage the budget in line with community goals.
