Oakmont Management Group is seeking an eligible Activity Director to organize and direct activities for our senior living Community in California. You will promote engaging programs, lead excursions, and ensure resident participation to enhance independence and quality of life.

The role requires a 21+ year old with a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid license, and experience coordinating activities. MS Office skills and a willingness to cover varied shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires current Class C license with Passenger Endorsement (preferred).
• 1+ year experience in providing planned activities and evaluating residents' needs.
• Flexibility to work holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts as needed.
• Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
• Criminal background check and health screening required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, schedule, budget, promote, and direct Community activities and excursions to enhance residents' independence and quality of life.
• Lead and participate in activities, encouraging resident participation and engagement.
• Recruit, develop, and schedule Activity Assistants, Drivers, and Volunteers.
• Maintain a safe environment following established safety standards.
• Foster teamwork across departments; able to drive Community vehicles.

The Activity Director is responsible for all programming, organizing, scheduling, budgeting, promoting, facilitating, and directing the activities and excursions for the Community in order to enhance the residents independence and quality of life, in accordance with the companys mission and values.

Responsibilities:

• Provide an interesting, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the Community and promote resident participation through regularly scheduled high-quality activities, excursions, special events, guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions, the establishment of clubs, games, art and creativity opportunities, educational classes and other such activities.
• Actively engage in residents activities through personally leading activities and encouraging resident participation in all activities, excursions, and special events.
• Recruit, develop, manage and schedule Activity Assistants, Drivers, and Community Volunteers.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires current Class C, prefer either a Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement.
• A minimum of one (1) year experience in providing planned activities and knowledge in evaluating residents needs.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience supervising and managing employees and volunteers
• Flexibility in work schedule as evidenced by working holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts when necessary to ensure adequate coverage within the department.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
