Job summary

Ivy Living seeks an Activity Coordinator for Traditions Memory Care at our Oakland Hills campus. You will organize, promote, and direct activities and excursions to enhance residents' independence and quality of life under our mission and values.

Collaborate with Memory Care leadership to create a vibrant social calendar, support resident engagement, and ensure safe, meaningful experiences daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 1 year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C license, prefer Class B for transporting residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist Memory Care Director in creating a rewarding social atmosphere with activities, excursions, events, and clubs.
• Promote resident participation and ensure safety in all activities; communicate with residents, families, and staff.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment and assist with transport using community vehicles as needed.
• Encourage teamwork and cooperation across departments.

The Activity Coordinator is responsible for assisting with organizing scheduling promoting facilitating and directing the activities and excursions for Traditions Memory Care in order to enhance the residents independence and quality of life in accordance with the companys mission and values

Responsibilities

• Assist the Memory Care Director in providing an interesting creative and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the secured Traditions area Promoting resident participation through regularly scheduled high quality activities excursions special events guest speakers movie showings exercise sessions the establishment of clubs games art and creativity opportunities educational classes and other such activitiesCommunicate effectively and display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents families visitors co workers and supervisorsMaintain a safe and secure environment for all staff residents and guests following established safety standardsAble to drive Community vehiclesEncourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co workers and other departments

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalentPrefer one 1 year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniorsRequires current Class C prefer Class B driver license to transport residentsAble to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs Word Excel Publisher PowerPoint etc
