Job summary

Bloomington Public Schools is seeking an Activity Assistant for the Preschool SAFARI program at the Early Learning Center Washburn. You will supervise and run activities for 3- to 5-year-olds, including gym, arts, crafts, and music, during open hours.

Hours are 6:30am–1:45pm and 3:45pm–6:00pm, Monday–Friday. Pay starts at $17.60 per hour, with rate based on education and experience. Must be at least 16 years old; preschool experience is preferred. Part-time benefits may apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with preschool age children is preferred.
• Activity Assistants must be 16 years of age at time of hire due to state requirements

Responsibilities

• Supervise, plan and implement daily schedule with activities(gym, arts, crafts, music, etc) for 3-5year olds during open hours.
• Assist with other program responsibilities including snack, paperwork, discipline, communication and other duties as assigned.
