Job summary

Pediatric Specialty Care in Point Pleasant, PA is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Assistant to join our team in a part-time role, with 11:00am-7:00pm shifts. You will work under a Recreational Therapist to plan 1:1 and group activities for medically complex children, helping growth, social interaction, and emotional well-being.

The role requires a high school diploma, 21+, artistic background or prior instruction, and experience in activities within care settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Artistic background or instruction from a certified activity consultant.
• Ability to lead group programs.
• Experience in activities department in long-term care or hospital setting.
• English language proficiency at intermediate or higher level.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, preparing, and leading 1:1 and group activities.
• Support community life programming both on and off campus.
• Adapt activities to meet each child’s physical and developmental abilities.
• Encourage participation and build positive, supportive relationships.
• Assist with ADL care as needed in accordance with care plans.
• Document participation and engagement accurately and timely.

Pediatric Specialty Care in Point Pleasant, PA (Bucks County) is seeking a warmhearted and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team in a Part-time status! We are currently seeking a n Activities Assistant to ensure each residents’ social, emotional and developmental needs are met through a variety of 1:1 and group activities.

Working under the guidance of a Recreational Therapist, you’ll play a vital role in creating individualized and group activities that support developmental growth, social interaction, and emotional well-being in a specialized pediatric environment.
