Job summary

The Wealshire of Bloomington is seeking Part Time Activity Assistants/Life Enrichment Aides to join our memory care community in Bloomington. Base pay is $20-22 per hour, with shifts from 11:45am–8:00pm or 4:00pm–8:00pm; you must work every other weekend and every other holiday.

The role involves leading resident activities, preparing materials, and supporting one-to-one programs. High school diploma required; 1+ year experience preferred; musical or artistic abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of experience as an Activity Assistant is preferred.
• Experience in Long-Term Care and Memory Care is preferred.
• Musical or Artistic abilities is a PLUS, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead small, medium, and large resident group activities.
• Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies prior to each program and clean up after each program.
• Conduct one-to-one programs for residents who are low functioning.
• Clean and take care of bird aviaries on Tuesday’s and Saturday’s or as instructed by Life Enrichment Director.
• Keep supplies and equipment neat, organized and put back in appropriate place.
• Assist and help feed residents at meal times as needed.
