Job summary

Integral Senior Living in California is seeking an Activities and Events Coordinator to plan and oversee resident programs that support physical, social, intellectual, and emotional well-being. You will coordinate events from start to finish, including set-up, execution, and wrap-up, while assisting with community tours.

Candidates should have an Associate’s Degree and 1–3 years of assisted living or memory care experience, plus strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree preferred in social work, recreation, sociology, psychology or related field.
  • 1–3 years experience in assisted living or memory care preferred.
  • Proficient verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to encourage and motivate older adults.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and oversight of resident activities.
  • Plan, schedule and conduct programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for our residents in our community.
  • Attend all community planned functions and help coordinate the event from beginning to end including set-up, running, and breaking down for the event.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours (evenings and every other weekend) for planned activity events.
  • Provide support to community’s marketing efforts through positive/friendly interaction during all property tours and telephone contact with the public, and as directed by a supervisor.
  • Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
  • Perform day-to-day clerical work connected with the position.
  • Attend all scheduled in-service classes.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents and guests, following established safety standards.
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
  • Support a positive and professional image through actions and dress.
