Laurus StoryPoint Novi is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to support residents through planned activities at 42400 W 12 Mile Rd, Novi, MI 48377. This full-time role requires availability Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, 9am-5pm to 10am-6pm.

The position involves assisting the Life Enrichment Director with the planning and execution of activities, ensuring resident safety, and helping with transportation for outings.

Qualifications

• Minimum one to three years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays may be required.
• Compassionate toward seniors and able to work independently or in a team.
• Proficient in general computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively support our 1440 culture and pillars
• Assist the Life Enrichment Director with planning, communication and execution of activities
• Supports the Life Enrichment Director and Life Enrichment Lead with administrative tasks
• Complete all tasks and functions while maintaining a high level of resident safety
• Support in proper setup, clean up and upkeep of activity areas and community spaces
• Support transportation by attending outings, coordinating relevant administrative tasks and upholding safety practices
• Adhere to and uphold all standards in the Employee Handbook

Licensure: Chauffeurs licenses upon hire

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule: Every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9am-5pm to 10am-6pm

Position Summary

The Life Enrichment Assistant assists in planning and performing life enrichment activities that are beneficial and complimentary to the social welfare and interests of the residents of a senior life connections community.

Required Experience

• Minimum one to three years related experience and/or training preferred
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings, weekends and holiday hours
• Compassionate towards the senior population
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration of team
• Proficient in general computer skills

Primary Responsibilities

• Actively support our 1440 culture and pillars
• Assist the Life Enrichment Director with the overall direction, planning, communication and execution of activities and life skills in the Life Enrichment department
• Supports the Life Enrichment Director and Life Enrichment Lead with administrative tasks as needed
• Complete all tasks and functions while maintaining a high level of resident safety
• Support in proper setup, clean up and upkeep of activity areas and community spaces
• Support transportation by attending outings, coordinating relevant administrative tasks and upholding safety practices
• Adhere to and uphold all standards in the Employee Handbook

General Working Conditions

This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to communicate effectively with others sit stand walk and use hands to handle keyboard telephone paper files and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
