Job summary

Island Lake Center is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Assistant to support the Activities Director in creating fun, meaningful programs that brighten residents’ days and build a lively, connected community.

You will plan and lead activities for residents, connect with individuals to spark joy, and ensure inclusive, accessible programming. This position supports a team-focused environment with growth opportunities and daily Pay options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with older adults in recreational or social settings is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, upbeat personality with a genuine passion for helping others.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead activities such as games, music, crafts and socials.
• Connect with residents to spark joy and foster friendships.
• Create inclusive, accessible activities for all residents.
• Set up and tidy activity spaces and manage supplies.
• Participate in team meetings and training.
