Job summary

Spanish Trails Wellness & Rehabilitation in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Assistant to support the Activity/Recreation Director in assessing, selecting, organizing, and implementing activity programs to enhance the lives of our patients.

You will help develop and deliver programs, maintain safety lists, and encourage participation in arts, crafts, outings, and educational activities, while fostering a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with coursework in recreation preferred.
• State-approved activity-training course preferred but not required.
• Experience in leading recreational activities and programs is desirable.

• Maintain precautions/limitations lists on each patient.

Activity Assistant

Job Summary

At Spanish Trails Wellness & Rehabilitation, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activity Assistant to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. As an Activity Assistant, you will support the efforts of the Activity/Recreation Director in assessing, selecting, organizing, and implementing activity/recreational services to enhance the lives of our patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and delivery of activity/recreational programs to promote normal life enhancement pursuits and increase/maintain functioning levels
• Maintain precautions/limitations lists on each patient
• Encourage patient participation in group and individual activities, including arts/crafts, community outings, religious activities, intellectual/educational activities, and recreational activities
• Perform miscellaneous work assignments as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with course work in recreation is desirable; Completion of a state-approved activity-training course is preferred but not required
• Previous experience in leading recreational activities, arts/crafts, intellectual/educational activities, community outings, etc., is desired
