Birchaven Village is seeking staff to assist in planning and executing social, recreational and educational activities for residents in accordance with policy and resident rights. The role requires helping residents participate, following instructions, and managing several projects for the aged and infirm.
The position emphasizes communication with residents, creativity in activities, and the ability to adapt to many different residents' needs while maintaining safety and comfort on site.
The primary purpose of your job position is to assist with the planning and executing of social, recreational and educational programs for the residents in accordance with Birchaven Village policy and procedure, Birchaven Village ethics statement and resident rights, subject to the employee handbook, and as directed by the Unit Manager.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; and some experience in working in a long-term care facility.
